This project aims to conduct trainings in disaster prevention in schools, developing and distributing original and locally made educational materials and programs on disaster prevention.

This project supports the capacity building of municipal engineers in Kathmandu Valley, especially in seismic designs and initiatives to prevent illegal construction by improving the inspection process and quality control.

Like many cities in the Philippines, Iloilo is prone to flooding due to typhoons and heavy rain. Using Yokohama’s expertise, experience and techniques, Iloilo aims to improve its capacity in disaster preparedness and response.

This project provides disaster preparedness trainings based on Japanese experience and expertise and aims to improve disaster response capacity of children in Nepal in order to significantly reduce damage.

Through the development of this online knowledge platform, we aim to share disaster prevention expertise with CITYNET members in order to create safer cities around Asia.

The Disaster Cluster holds its annual Disaster Cluster Seminar with the aim to share experience and technical expertise in disaster prevention among CITYNET Cluster members.
